Kazushi Saito studied flute at Tokyo University of Arts.

Studied with Paul Meisen, Kim Shokoku, Yumiko Sakuma, Tomomi Nakagawa, Tomio Nakano, Akiko Mikami and Narumi Yamazaki.

He won many competitions, first prize at the 70th Japan Music Competition, First prize at the 4th Biwa-ko international Flute competition, and 4th prize at the Kobe international competition.

Currently He held position for Principal flutist at the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and also member of Tokyo Sinfonietta, Nozzles, and the flute Quartett.

He also famous as composer, arranger, and improviser.

He is teaching at the music High Shool attached to the faculty of music, Tokyo University of the Arts, Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and Kunitachi College of Music.
